  1. Jackfruit and banana blossom are really great if you want texture found in pulled pork or tuna, which (imo) isnt acheivable legumes like tofu or pea proteins.
What she's done will make it taste like meat and very delicious, but if you skip the boiling or baking parts it will still taste great, just not perfect.
It doesnt have protein content, so its just a fun way to have something tasty and high in fiber. Im vegetarian, and use these in quesadillas with cheese, but vegans could use any cheese substitute for added protein, or just have more protein throughout the week in another meal. 😀

  2. Are used to cook vegan TVP things and had to follow a similar process for it to taste good, it was quite fun, satiated both the omnivores and the vegan vegetarians, so really happy for this video. Well done marvellous🎉❤

  3. Why ruin perfectly good jackfruit this way, spend so much unnecessary time to substitute meat with something that for sure won't taste like it? While India is the hub for vegetarianism, Sri Lanka is the hub for veganism. Just research srilankan jackfruit curry recipes (also known as polos, which is baby jackfruit & kos known as jackfruit recipes). Coconut milk base and tastes bloody amazing. You won't be eating meat ever again, nor will you be looking into eating substitutes.

  4. I’m filipina, and I shop at a large international grocery market which carries frozen young jackfruit. Ingredients: 100% young jackfruit. Defrost, remove hard core if desired, and use in your favorite dish. BBQ “pulled pork” sammie’s are so good!
