Congratulations you have discovered Muri. Time for chhatu muri
Shakal ki
Nooo. Why? Ouly nastyness.
Go buy one of those pressure corn popper things from asia; it cooks Anything that can pop including corn &, rice, and cooks it Without oil.
Makes rice crispy WITHOUT massive amounts of icky oil. Also gets browned ( or blackened) bits for extra flavour.
As an Asian who has rice multiple times a day in different forms, last thing I want is to have rice for breakfast as well
DOODH MURI (BENGALI STYLE)❌
CRISPY RICE CEREAL ✅
Yes
Ranginang
In India we roast it!!!
Western countries discovering puffed rice
Sweeten it first
We call it muri
Is this how you make puffed rice?!
OMG oil fry??
There's a Cambodian (?) recipe that uses this same technique to create snacks. Gordon Ramsey showcased it on one of his travel shows and it was really simple, but satisfyingly tasty.
Ok. But what???
Could listen to this all day
So rice krispys are deep fried rice?
I'm imagining now that you can possibly achieve this in an air fryer as well and avoid the oil meets milk issue 🤔
It's called muri
So , was it cooked or raw before giving it oil bath ?
😮 not shure what im seeing right now
No. Absolutely not.
But rice crispies are not made from whole rice, lol, it's made from rice flour then formed into rice looking shapes, and they aren't fried in oil but air puffed, come on, we need companies to show how things work in factories again like they used to show like on shows like Reading Rainbow or Mister Rogers.
I knew there was a way!! Thank you!!
Gross
Absolutely magic how that oily mess turned into Kellogs rice krispies in that bowl.
Those are called mumra in India. You putting it in milk makes me think that you're a psychopath 💀
🕊️ Snap, Crackle and Pop 🪦
Yum! Oily cereal
How do you strain out the oil enough where it doesn't taste greasy in your milk?
Sooo many videos in a day
wouldn't it be better to air fry it so it's not oily?
WOW! 😊
