  1. They can’t take the anemia and damage from low B12. At a certain point, the body hits a wall.

Sometimes they heed the signs before they end up the hospital/hit a point where they absolutely can’t function, and sometimes they don’r.

Of course, you can go alot longer being “vegan” if you sneak a steak or a filet of salmon occasionally.

  2. I don't care meat is good for you I don't care we've been doing it since the goddamn first generations it's about survival and it tastes better than f**** vegan food I couldn't do it as a matter of fact I was vegan for two goddamn months I used to puke that s***

  3. Vegans aren't going back to eating meat, though. Run of the mill meat eaters are continuing to eat meat is what's actually happening. Simply taking a break from animal products or eating plant-based doesn't make someone vegan. That's not veganism, we seriously need to start gatekeeping the definition of "vegan" harder before it becomes totally meaningless.

  4. Vegan's don't just eat fruits and greens. They eat potatoes, many varieties of beans, pasta, sauces, grains such as rice, oats, faro, millet, bread, nut butters, nuts and seeds. There are more plant food choices than there are mistreated animal choices.

  5. Lies. I was vegan for 11 years, not raw vegan at all, eating Whole Foods and as many plant fats as possible. I lost my period and was fatigued. Despite taking Veg 1 and supplementing protein, selenium, zinc, vitamin D, you name the supplement I had it.
That didn’t stop me from getting ill over time. And trust me I was a militant vegan but veganism is not a human appropriate diet.
Humans have evolved since 2 million years eating animal fat and protein and it’s what we thrive on. I am now eating almost exclusively animal products and I finally am thriving again. Veganism is a noble cause but it just goes against our biology. Our brains and especially women need animal fat and cholesterol to produce and balance our hormones properly.
Check out the Vegetarian Myth by Lierre Keith, ex-vegan of 20 years who cured her spinal deterioration caused by a plant based diet by eating meat and animal fats again.

  6. 9+yr vegan and was vegetarian and pescatarian for 2yrs before that. Have had no issues as far as nutrient deficiencies etc. and instead have followed healthy eating guidelines and have educated myself on how to make it work and fuel myself properly. Ethics aside I could have done that as an omnivore as well. It’s quite simple ANY diet that’s not planned properly will lead to issues and ANY super restrictive diet will (shocking! 🙄) also restrict nutrients.

That being said, if they find that switching back to an omnivore diet improves their disordered eating (because real talk that’s what’s happening. When folks stop blaming the diet they can address it properly) then I applaud them for taking the first step in addressing that. But it sucks the animals always end up being the collateral damage yet again. Sad to see.

My “vegan compassion” extends to human animals too 😂 so I wish them the best and hope they revisit it with a healthier mindset when they’re able to.

  7. 1000 calories a day is semi-starvation. That is to blame. Nothing wrong with a raw foods diet as long as you know what you’re doing and make changes as you figure out what works for you and what doesn’t. In fact, we do actually have every anatomical feature of a frugivore. We don’t HAVE to eat that way, but our digestive system is built to process and utilize raw fruits and other raw plant edibles (like greens, nuts, seeds, veggies, etc). Rose is acting the way non-vegans act about vegans. They act like we have an eating disorder and are crazy when plant based is easy. Just takes a bit of effort to find what works for you (like ANYTHING).
Personally, I eat a BIG giant amazing smoothie every morning with frozen fruits, dates, hemp seeds, and orange juice (and sea moss gel and spirulina, but those aren’t necessary). That’s close to 1000 calories right there. I eat a BIG beautiful tasty f*ing salad with crunchy greens, raw veggies, avocado, nuts/seeds, sometimes smokey tempeh or some type of bean, dulse flakes (for iodine), and sometimes fruits. Notice how so far the food is mostly raw? I do it because I LOVE these delicious meals and how they make me feel. I also eat cooked whole food meals with a healthy amount of fat (meaning what my body actually needs, so not nearly what most people eat). I also incorporate yummy deserts (oil free is one of the main things I stick when making these goodies). I eat well over 2000 calories a day and nobody ever believes I have four kids!! I am lean and youthful at age 34, effortlessly. Don’t let people make healthy amazing VIBRANT foods sound lame, boring, or (OMG) dangerous! Be smart. Find what you like, but if you can recognize that your body has a dire NEED for lots of fruits and vegetables, and that it only needs (and can handle) less fat than what we’re used to, then you can thrive for a long time and avoid a lot of suffering. Get enough calories! No matter what!!
Rose has shown us her low carb/calorie restriction day of eating before (replete with coffee drugs to make it all “work” – not that I am here to demonize coffee, just mentioning it so we can acknowledge the role it tends to play in most people’s lives). You don’t have to live like that. (Again, I’m not demonizing coffee. It’s just not necessary to use coffee to skip meals or to make up for the lack of carbs for energy.)
Anyway, hope that encourages more curiosity and understanding on the topic of raw foods and vegan diets in general. A raw diet is the oldest diet for humans (just saying; I’m NOT saying it’s the only way to live).

  8. I've been vegan for a decade now, and it is so unfortunate to see all these vegan influencers who were once inspiring, leave the vegan lifestyle. I'm not sure whats going on, but if something happened to where my diet was no longer serving me, the first thing I'd do is figure out where I'm deficient and find plant alternatives. Since my diet is so varied, my bloodwork always comes back perfect, with the exception this year of vitamin d3 which my doctor said a lot of the world is low in and is a very simple fix. To each their own but it's very sad to see and I do hope that we continue to progress with a less cruel world.

  9. I think your reason is true! But also – if you are looking at influencers and content creators, most do things because they're following popular trends, not because they have deeply held beliefs and morals. Also, veganism – like Atkins, low-fat, and most diets, is partially a trend. There was a big wave around 2010 to 2021, now that wave is crashing. Ah well. I went vegan many years before that, I saw the wave come, and I said to all my friends "this is great! But it's probably going to end eventually". And here we are. Veganism will never disappear forever, but it will likely not explode to such huge popularity again for another 20 years. Put it on your calendar: 2044.

  10. I love how you encouraged “normal eating” so important and shows your veganism is more so aligned with ethics. at the end of the day I think that’s what keeps ppl vegan, a peaceful relationship with food and being ethically minded.
