My wife and I went in 2021 and tried Hattie B's as well as Prince's. Hot chicken is amazing.
Thank you
You giving way too much story line! I got lost and turned you off! So next time forget the background story, and let's get cooking!
I remember several years ago queuing outside Hattie B’s for a couple of hours before we eventually sat down to eat their mindblowing chicken, absolutely worth it. One day I will make this.
Always wondering why people make fried chicken or CFS soggy by drenching it in sauce or gravy. Put it on the side and dip it.
2:42 And viola!, Africa!! Good job chef!
I'm salivating out of control. Many thanks for the great tips.
I will be trying this in short order.
Could I sub another ingredient for corn starch like tapioca starch or potato starch? I have a corn allergy.
Or for way less crispy chicken just use regular flour instead?
Love your recipes. All of them that I’ve tried have been the bomb.
Man love this recipe thanks! Thanks for golden tips❤️🌹
Thank you for sharing this recipe. Nashville Hot Chicken is my go to comfort food when out and about! Now I will try and make it at home. Thanks again! 🍗🌶️
Straight fire. Best spicy fried chicken sandwich recipe i've seen in a minute. Only difference is, I glaze the chicken with hot maple syrup after it's placed on the bun, but 10/10 sandwich, chef!
This looks amazing!
What do you do with the oil afterwards, is it one and done or are the reusing techniques?
The best thing is the tips for the fried chicken serve to any kind of fried chicken, not only scorching hot 😋
In order for me to take this type of video more seriously, I need to how the how and why behind how adding the lard/bacon fat with the neutral oil will render out a crispier fried chicken. Otherwise, it just feels gimmicky. Not saying it isn't true, I've just never heard that in all my years of making fried chicken and want to know the science behind the claim.
If you don't have (or don't want to use) lard, vegetable shortening will work much the same.
Since you asked, it's good if that's what I'm in the mood for but it's not the best fried chicken.
Thanks chef! You should also try a filipino dish called "pork steak" or "pork bistek". I'm sure you'll like it
And another thing that would be good. I’m just adding just a little bit more flavor is in the marinade. I would add honey and give it that hot honey flavor.
Have you ever thought about dicing up some bacon and then once it’s crispy enough, put it in with the flower when you get the chicken in it and give it just that little extra boost of bacon flavor besides bacon chicken doesn’t sound that bad
I'm at work and you got me drooling, spicy food is my weakness.
I❤👍Thank you chef. Great instructions.
I always look forward to your recipes
Chef , that looks incredible ! Gotta try this out .
First!
