  1. Ok..i just spent HOURS and a dozen eggs trying to make the meringue and my mom brought to my attention that I am at a higher elevation and thats why the egg whites just stayed flaccid and weepy. Will the meringue recipe still work with the marshmallow fluff if I made the meringue with cornstarch, less sugar and water heated up to melty and then cooled and added to the egg whites?p.s. a micro drop of yolk got into my 1st attempt…the internet told me thats a huge no no

  2. Is that a store-bought pumpkin pie?! You can't put store-bought anything up against baking something from scratch!! That's stacking the deck in your favor.

  3. Actually I like both. I can't think of any other dish using pumpkin that I'd eat while I eat sweet potatoes frequently always baked/roasted . I'll pass on the marshmallow merengue……too damn sweet, same goes for candied sweet potatoes/candied "yams". The south seems to have a love affair with sugar.
