๐ You should have your own tv show
yummmmmm
How salty is the ocean? Chefs always say that's the right way to boil pasta, but some of us have never been to the ocean (much less tasted it) so have no idea what that means. ๐ข
You canโt really get ham in England as you know it, we have rashers of bacon, we have bacon that they are well known for boiling in Ireland, could use rashers I suppose
I started making traditional carbonara but quickly tried different variations, I would add shallots and mushrooms to my carbonara, this ham carbonara sounds great
This looks delish and I am following!!!!
Hamonara! Or Jamon-Ara if you're in Spain.
Doesn't the Papalina have peas in it?
The "popes pasta"? Don't forget the children's tears.
You can stop this video when this ham comes into the picture. And then some peas for the Brits.
Really like your videos and learning from you, but please Chef, "tagliatelli" should not be pronounced with a hard "g!" The "g" serves to make the "gl" sound, with the tongue hard against the roof of the mouth. Tah-lee-a-tell-ee.
Slice the baked crust of the ham away??
I grew up on this, my favorite!
This is a Carbonara , folks
minor variation on cacio e pepe, or carbonara. Why are you mispronouncing 'tagliatelle'?
what do you mean any ham any size? is it a recipe or not?
you cant just swap onions willy-nilly.
Hi Chef Billy,
Thank you for another amazing video! I noticed your pasta cooking basket. I have been looking for one of those for a long time, and can't find any. Would you mind sharing where someone can buy a pasta basket like that, please?
@Chef Billy Parisi Why haven't you upgraded to an induction over using a gas stove I wonder?
With all due respect, "Tagliatelle" is pronounced "TAH-LYAH-TELLE-Ay" The g is silent.
Shallots, yellow onions, red onions and sweet onions have completely different flavours – they are not interchangeable. But then the video also says you can just use any old ham too. So essentially it's nonsense.
This is pretty much exactly what non Italians make when they think they are making spaghetti carbonara lol
Excellent clear and simple presentation. Kudos! Will suscribe. ๐
