As a vegetarian, I don't really support the idea of people going vegan but I'll definitely support people going vegetarian. I say this bc people shouldn't aim for perfection, they should just focus on progress and sustainability. From the way I see it, many of these ex vegan content creators that went vegan never gave vegetarianism a chance. I feel like what often happens is that people that go vegan would often watch documentaries like cowspiracy, what the health, and earthlings. This is a problem bc those documentaries promote the idea that eating animal byproducts is just as bad as eating meat. This in turn creates an "all or nothing mindset". Like if something isn't 100% plant-based (vegetarian) then it's complete failure. The truth of the matter is that not all eggs, dairy, and honey come from a cycle of cruelty. These documentaries often push people to go vegan too quickly without preparation or education. Then when they struggle with health problems, burnout cravings, or social pressure, they might feel ashamed and instead of easing into something like vegetarianism, they give up entirely and swing back to eating meat. Not only are people not understanding their own limits or needs, it saves less animals.
Why don’t you just change the terminology from Vegan to Plant Based? That way you can keep sponsors interested without alienating your core audience? Vegan has baggage attached to it so I’d imagine companies don’t want the “vegan extremism” associated with their products. Do I agree? No. But Plant Based is more inclusive like someone said here in the comment section.
The arguments and misunderstandings surrounding veganism is tiresome for sure. I’m in some groups on social media, where everyone is arguing about using or not using oil. Arguing about processed foods or whole foods. I am vegan and I use oil and some processed foods or condiments for convenience and sustainability. I work as a nurse full time and have 3 kids and a disabled spouse. I need convenience sometimes. I’d rather buy the pre-made salad dressings, or sauces, than 10 different things to mix together to make it. It’s more expensive at the front end, and more work and time. If I worked a 16 hour shift and didn’t get to eat all day (typical bedside nurse’s day) I want to just throw a bag of frozen broccoli in the microwave, and quick fry some tofu, and pour some store bought teriyaki sauce on it and call it a day. Why does that bother anyone else?
Huh…been vegan 5 years. Lost my period, had severe panic attack, have collapsed my thyroid, my skin is itching and is dry, have teeth problems, my digestion literally stopped, had to search for medical attention. Last two years I went back on wholefoods (meat, milk, cheese…), got my period back, have better gainz.
I love how people say they "tried" the vegan diet. Macro and Micro nutrients are overlooked so often by some who think they can live on rice and oat milk. Vegi's are sooo good I cant imagine wanting to go back EVER.
That is so true I have been vegan for over 30 years and I never thought about going back to meat or anything else that's animal product I do believe money is involved just think just like you said they all have this weird scenario of they get sick all of a sudden because they views go down I really hate to say this people have no more morals it's all about the money it's not about they can't take the vegan diet anymore just think if you could not take a plant-based diet your body would have told you earlier on why would it take 20 years for your body to tell you you cannot take the vegan diet really 🤔because the cash is not flowing in that's the real truth 😞 sad when you really think about it thanks for keeping it real love this video ❣️ p.s I just find this channel I am so happy because the vegan influences I loved grow up on is no longer vegan influences anymore so it was a blessing to see you today I will subscribe❤
Im frustrated because I was whole foods plant based vegan for 8 years and I was doing amazing for about 6 years and then started declining. I also became insulin resistant to my surprise.
I have gone back to eating meat which was fine, i did resolve all the issues I was having on my vegan diet, but then went carnivore and really improved. However, i hate meat! I dont "hate it" really but I just don't enjoy it. I never really enjoyed meat even growing up … I love whole food starches, tofu, beans etc. The problem is, now when I eat them my glucose goes sky high… I miss it so much though, I'm considering trying it again because i just enjoy the food so much more but I'm worried about reverting back to the issues I was having so I'm thinking I might do wfpb for like 4-5 days a week and maybe include meat 2 days a week? 😢 I dont know i just hate cooking and eating meat. I miss my japanese sweet potatoes, my mangoes, my steel cut oats lol
I'm raw vegan. 5'9 and 175 lb woman. I supplement, eat a full and balanced diet and workout. I incorporate beans, lentils, and peas all raw and sprouted as well as raw grains like buckwheat, oats, teff, etc., and I am all good over here. If we treat it like a fad, it may fail us- if we treat it like a lifestyle and are realistic about nutritional needs and getting our daily sustenance it would probably work for more people. Veganism, when done right, is amazing with awesome benefits.
Nope! The content creator you spoke of who claimed she couldn’t remain vegan due to her inability to process plant protein is a liar! Yes, a liar, because that excuse is absolute bullshit!! Don’t be so gullible!
Vegan going on 60 years. Definitely won’t change. I do eat a variety of foods and ensure plenty of protein, calcium etc. it’s a question of checking nutrition of various foods and including them in daily menu. I do take b12 and in Ireland so I feel VIT d important too. Fruit + veg not sufficient, grains, pulses ++ viral and enable huge variety of tasty, healthy meals.
When these content creators say it was difficult for them, think about HOW DIFFICULT LIFE IS FOR ANIMALS WHO SUFFER 😢 I doubt their motivation was for ethical reasons to begin with. Im new to your channel but i love it already ❤ i have found you for a reason 😊 The extremes in diets causes problems for these people and then they ruin veganism for others 😢😢 This is a beautiful and well worded video ❤
Not forgetting SO many 'vegan curious' celebrities like Lizzo, Miley Cyrus, etc are going back to being full on carnivores. #govegan#stayvegan#vegancurious#veganism

As somebody that went vegan due to many severe food allergies, it's been good for the past 7 years. And I'm growing my own mushrooms.

Veganism is luxury activism and this video proves it.

VEGANS ARE the problem, not the solution.
Edgy Veg is the real deal. Always a top-tier vegan YouTuber.
You can leave veganism but NOT tatooism…..really sad…
Being vegan is for the animals.
It’s not sustainable as you get older simple as
