  1. "Sardines have a robust flavor"? I find them very mild, actually. A bit more interesting than tuna, but still pretty mild. Modern society is a bit squeamish about them (unfairly), but they don't know what they're missing. Now, anchovies: THOSE have a robust flavor, and are not for everyone. I like them, but only in specific settings.

  2. Stop eating for fun. Sardines are made expensive by these westerners with their new trend. It’s a poor man’s fish in Asia and it has become expensive nowadays because of demand in the west. These western people over eat everything.

  3. Reminds me of the Smorgasbord sandwiches i enjoyed in Denmark and Sweden. These were served on toaste rye crackers or rye bread with sour cream or cream cheese, herring, shrimp, cucumber, radishes, and dill. And they are absolutely delicious.
