Hello Manjula. This recipe is great and works every time! Today I have a question though: is it possible to make the filling and then use it the day after? Will it become too hard? Should I keep it in the fridge?

Dear Manjula Ji, Is it possible to use Mung dal instead of Tur dal to make this recipe ?
Sabrina, my mum has always used jaggery to make this as opposed to sugar. I'm guessing it's a traditional recipe, and it has always been delicious.

Can we use ghee instead of oil?
His made me salivate. Last time I had this, I was a little kid. My friend leena's mother made it. I never knew what it was called but I never forgot it either. Yummy.
@sonalsamson
Every recipe is made many ways I always had with Toor Dal
Auntyji : My neighbor taught me this using Chana Dal and she is a Maharashtrian lady. So what is the traditional dal that is used….Tuvar or Chana?
Looks delicious. This resembles a dish from Karnataka. Called Obattu, Holige. But the dough is make of Maida.
@pallavimodak
You grind soaked Chana dal n sugar together and then cook in stove, with water?
