I just had this at a German Christmas market and it was very nice to sip while walking in the cold. I couldn't finish it so I poured the rest in some pea soup and then that was delicious. I was wondering how they made it. The version I had used medium grade wine and was $6 a cup. I wouldn't recommend the cheap wine unless you want added sulfites that cause migraines. Also don't get drunk or it turns from pleasant to sloppy and from tasty to just medication.
