Oh no. Someone feels entitled and believes they are the only one. Hmmmm…that must be a frustrating life to always think you're right when others do it different.
Well done for putting these over opinion people in their place!
I hate this sense of culinary superiority some people have. Like it's true there are basics to cooking, but sometimes it's not that deep. One of my best friends is a professional chef and something he always says is that there's a lot more merit to parents who are able to cook and feed their children homemade meals on a daily basis than to any super chef you will ever meet! Have to say I agree. Not everything is about doing things by the book, and there's many ways to make things work in the kitchen.
Anyone who is familiar with Alton Brown knows that this is his preferred method and it’s THE BEST way to make crispy potatoes. I’ve made them and they’re fantastic. Pay no attention to the rude trolls. You rock!
This is just a copy of Jamie Oliver’s Christmas potatoes. Maybe give him credit and stop being so defensive .. let things slide and your blood pressure will thank you
In Shakespeare's words…. "much ado about nothing" 😂😂 Geeeze ..!! these people nit picking on you about idly piddly things & creating unnecessary drama ..lol… Meanwhile .. they forgot to feed their cat ..👀🐈& the gold fish is getting dizzy swimming around in circles waiting for his fishy flakes.😳🐠
Another chef here: Great chefs recognize there are many different ways to do things, each with their own merits. Arrogant mediocre chefs think it's their way or "ITS WRONG!" Sounds like this dude is the latter.
Not at all to diminish your expertise but everyone knows this and the fact that this commentator didn’t really is embarrassing for them the way they went so hard 😂 Fansplaining can stop.
I totally love your videos I've been watching since 2016 or 17 but I do feel even with cook books you cant call yourself a chef if you don't have a culinary degree or at least 5 years cooking experience learning from someone else
There are multiple U.K. chefs who have cooking programmes here and every Christmas there are the likes of Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsey, Nigella Lawson, Mary Berry etc etc on the TV giving tips on how to make the perfect Christmas Dinner…shaking up your at least par boiled potatoes for the ultimate roasties is a frequent inclusion. Can’t help but feel that the commenter was from a country where roast potatoes aren’t really a thing.
In Australia, your method is the go-to method for roasti potatoes for any holiday dinner (at least in my family). As a potat-hoe, this is my favorite method! Thank you for all you do!
The way you did it was how I was taught to do crispy roast potatoes. Par boil, shake so that the potatoes look “fluffed up”, add to a very hot oven pan with hot oil, allow to crisp up. Don’t know what they are talking about. They’ve obviously never had a good roast potato 🤬
Not a chef here. I will do this recipe right now. Thank you 🙂
That shirt is so cute lololol
i am known for my potatoes, i always made em this way! boil, shake, bake. i bet that guys potatoes suck!!!!
Thank you for all of your content💜🙋🏾♀️ You are appreciated 🙂

I believe there's no rules in the kitchen…. Cooking is open ended.
Oh snap! ❤
Booba 👀
Are you seriously telling me that people said this is the wrong way to make roast potatoes?
Seriously, we have been doing this in the uk for decades.
Smush with a masher and shake halfway through roasting, also you should try marmite roasties for an extra treat on those crispy bits ✨💕
Don’t feed these asshole trolls.
Are you doing anymore YouTube videos? I miss you ❤

Jamie Oliver shakes his.
I, for one, condone when you shake it.
I love you Candice. You and your fucking cool ideas ❤

I hate this fucking dudes that tell qualified women how to do their jobs. Next
I followed a similar technique from Gaz Oakley and it was a game changer. Shake those spuds!
I'm relatively new to the par boiling and shaking method, for me it was a game changer 😎

It doesn’t really matter. If they prefer their way, fine
But they were rude.
Lol some people… Exactly, experience doesn't necessarily mean skill and skill doesn't always require a lot of experience.
