Nice and simple recipe. I learned many new things. Thank you.
why does my rice become like a pappu? 🙁 I tried to use 1,5 cup of water for 1 cup of rice, the top grains are perfect, but lower grains are always like a pappu!
WHY DID U PUT FOR PLAIN RICE ITS SOOO EASY
@nikynavid Butter will be good.
@OzActor you can add cardimon, cinnamon sticks and bay leaves in the water when you start cooking. for a cup of rice 3 cardimon, 2 cinnamon sticks and one bay leave broken in half.
Smile
How about some jeera(cumin)? I will cook by rice this way now for special occasions, thx aunty

Just add the bay leave the same time you are adding water.
I notice when i eat out that there is sometimes a bay leave in the basmati rice. Do you ever use this? when should it be added to the recipe? thank you again for these wonderful videos.
Thank you very much for this helpful video.
Thank you for sharing! Rice is just one thing that I have yet to master to perfection … as easy as it is you'd think I could!! lol
add curry powder before it is boiling.
I have to try this! Every time I make rice I mess it up ..either to much or not enough water..or I stir to much =( I'm sure this will help me out! =)
Love that her recipes are for 2 servings. Great for a single person.
she was using basmati rice…
Rice is a pretty straight forward dish but it cooking it to perfection still eludes me when using a stove top method. I've got a rice cooker that really makes things easy.
thanks that was very helpful. you cook it slightly different to the way I do – i don't use oil or salt. i'll have to remember to try it your way.
Very interesting, thank you!
