How about using sweet marsala wine instead of sparkling wine for the zabaglione? My grandfather was a chef in Chicago back in the day. He taught me to make it that way.
Yea…the pronounciation gets to me too. I'm Italian American; Italian was spoken in our house growing up. I guess I thought with a name like Parisi, the pronounciation would be correct. BP is still an amazing chef, but maybe not so much as a linguist. That said, thank you for a lovely recipe Chef. 😊

Oh I hate that I’m a pronunciation Nazi….but may I? The g in zabaglione is almost silent….it lends a tiny ‘y’ sound to the l like it does to the n in gnocchi.😊

Billy, dude, I love your videos, BUT your pronunciation of Italian words is driving me crazy. For example, zabaglione, it's not zuh-BAG-lioni, zah-bah-YO-neh. Here is an example.
