  1. “I’m gonna make some more southerners mad” – adds cream. Brother, us southerners love butter and cream in almost everything. You ain’t making anyone mad with that 😅. Though, I am mad that I don’t have this available to eat RIGHT NOW.

  2. I appreciate how you seem to care for quality ingredients. Noticed the pastas in your other videos are organic. Olive/avocado oil instead of “vegetable oil”. Nice 👍

  3. As a Southerner who grew up with generations of great cooks, I'm not mad at all about the white wine, but I don't remember anyone adding garlic to this dish. Ya need some sage & thyme. We loved garlic in many things but not smothered chicken. It looks yummy anyway! Who would turn their nose up at chicken & gravy?

  4. This is poor people food. No offense, but it was not that "Southerners" would be opposed to wine and cream, we will do anything to add calories. It was because the families cooking would not typically have those ingredients…but my all means, get all new england douchey about it. We are used to it.

  5. Southern Man here – I speak on behalf of the group to say that no feathers were ruffled. You Southern street-cred was established long ago with your gumbo/potato salad video. I can't wait to make this.

  6. I originally gave this recipe a bad review. My wife loved leftovers and she never eats leftovers. I would cook it again with fresh mushrooms added at the end and no white wine. Chef Billy is a maestro of cooking. You learn by doing. He is a good teacher.

  7. Beloved, do you know, that your Creator Jesus Christ loves you? He loves you and each one of us immensely! Do you know Him, or do you just know about Him? If you don't know Him yet, please let me tell you about Him. I do not belong to any organized religion, nor do I belong to any kind of religious sect. I just love the Lord Jesus, the only true, living God there is, and His Word; the Bible. So I am the true follower of Jesus Christ; the Christ of the Bible. Jesus is the Word of God, who became flesh. He lived a perfect, sinless life, then He died on the cross for our sins. On the third day, Father God resurrected Him; He rose from the dead; and now He is alive, and He sits at the Father God's right hand. He is the one and only true living God; there's no other, apart from Him. He loves us; He created us! He is not the God of religion, He is the God of a personal relationship! He desires a close relationship with us. He said in John 14:6, "Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' No one can come to heaven except through Jesus! Therefore, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior today, if you haven't done it yet! Repent of your sins, and ask Him to forgive you, cleanse you, and make you a new creation in Jesus Christ! Then invite Him into your heart, and into your life. Talk to Him and acknowledge Him on daily basis; run to Him in your distress, and He'll give you rest! Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Beloved people, tomorrow is promised to none of us; and without Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we won't have an eternal life in heaven. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and His sacrifice on the cross today; do not wait another minute! John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

  8. Please clarify you keep saying you're going to upset southern US cooks. As a native let me assure you every good southern cook has their own twists or tweaks to classic recipes to make them their own.

  9. Looks delicious, Billy. AND you gave me a reason to bring out the roundeau – I don't know why, but it's my favorite pot/pan thing. Thnks for the recipe.

  10. Not that great. Not a fan of Garlic Powder or Onion powder. This just reaffirms it. Glad I Tasted the spice seasoning before I put it on the chicken. Way too much salt. Unless you have no taste buds. Lot of work for a not so satisfying meal. Mashed Potatoes were the best part. Good idea.

  11. I have to give Billy credit for a lot of my kitchen knowledge, I knew a lot about cooking before watching him but I have upped my cooking skills so much watching and learning from all his techniques and wonderful recipes he so freely shares. Thank you Billy you are a blessing!😘
